The Department of Literature, the Center for Gender and Culture Studies in Latin America
(CEGECAL), Nomadías Review of the University of Chile and the NGO ESE:O are jointly holding
online conversations on “Feminist Poetics.”
The first session of the "Feminist Poetics" series was held on July 27 with the participation of the
acclaimed poet Alejandra del Río, with commentary from Rubí Carreño of the Faculty of Letters of
the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Kemy Oyarzún of the University of Chile’s
literature department and CEGECAL. ESE:O founder and director Soledad Falabella, who is also a
faculty member of the University of Chile’s literature department and member of CEGECAL,
moderated the discussion. Link:
More than 150 people visited this event, which was much applauded. The positive feedback has
spurred us to organise more series of talks.
Our director, Soledad Falabella, will return to present the next conversation. The guest this time
will be the great Mapuche poet, David Añiñir.
